About this artwork
It is a writing, a play of materials, lights and perspectives. The touch brings a dynamic aspect to the elements in order to give a more contemporary rendering to the pattern. The goal is to populate the whole with the fluid movement of the spatula in communion with the oils.

« The work belongs to the one who looks at it and I would add that a painting comes to life once it has found its owner. »
Patrick Rousseau is a French artist whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Japan, the Netherlands, Italy, and the United States. His artistic expression conveys life, stories, memories, and everything that revolves around them. Rousseau investigates what lies "behind the windows" since his primary subject revolves around all that is urban. Inspired by both impressionism and abstraction, he creates using oils on canvas, linen, or paper.
