About this artwork
This painting was first (only) exhibited with two others of the same size, this is the only one I still have, in spring of 2017. I completed this little gem during my sabbatical in that spring. I always thought that there was a penguin in the center of the painting, but that's just me. Enjoy the painting

Patrick Schmidt is an artist based in the United States whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally and in Italy. Principally inspired by Op art, he believes that color changes our moods and that colors and patterns alter our identities. Schmidt describes his vivid works as hard-edge color fields with a digital sensibility that explores the language of geometric abstraction.
