About this artwork
For this composition, I took a small section 1 -2 inch square from an older painting that had been digitized via Photoshop. Using this small section I then transfer it to my canvas. I use a completely different color scheme for this painting to make it, it's own. By appropriating compositions from my older work a symbiotic relationship is being constructed between the old and the new.

Patrick Schmidt is an artist based in the United States whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally and in Italy.
