About this artwork
Abyssus is a work that explores the enigmatic depths of the human soul and the intrinsic connection between life and the unknown. This painted face represents a harmonious fusion between serenity and chaos, where nature is intertwined with the mystery of the abyss.
The right side of the face is shrouded in deep blues and greens, recalling the dark tranquility of the oceans. This side represents the abyss, with its mysterious waters and the hidden… creatures that live there. The transition between light and darkness on the face underlines the dualism between the surface and the depths, between what is known and what remains unknown.
The eyes, central and penetrating, are turned upwards, reflecting an ancient wisdom and an insatiable curiosity for the unknown. Abyssus invites viewers to contemplate the beauty hidden in the depths of the human soul and find harmony between the visible and invisible worlds, revealing how each discovery brings with it a new mystery to explore.
