About this artwork
This painting is part of my ongoing Memory Palace series, where I explore how the mind constructs itself from experience.
The vertical forms represent the structural pillars of thought — the internal supports that hold memory, identity, and perception upright. Between them drift fragments of figures and impressions, like moments suspended in time rather than fixed in place.
I didn’t set out to paint a building. I discovered one while painting. As… the layers formed, the space revealed itself as an interior architecture — not of stone or wood, but of recollection and subconscious pattern.
These pillars do not belong to a physical structure. They belong to the mind itself.
This piece represents the moment I realized that memory is not stored in rooms. It is carried in the framework that allows those rooms to exist.
