About this artwork
Refuge is an original sculpture carved from a single piece of driftwood. Shaped over years by water, wind, and time, this wood already carries its own story. I have revealed within it a human figure curled in on itself, in an attitude of calm, meditation, and protection. The dialogue between the raw material and the sculpted forms invites each viewer to project their own emotion and their own narrative.
