About this artwork
I was inspired to paint Hanakapai Beach after having hiked the distance on the Kalalau Trail to this secluded beach. In early evening the waves become translucent and the moss covered rocks on the beach seem to glow. The distant mountain and clouds point heavily downward to highlight this amazing beach.
