About this artwork
Dans GEON, je développe des formes qui puisent dans une géométrie élémentaire, mais qui basculent vers des présences plus ambiguës, presque spéculatives, entre structure mentale, objet en mutation et apparition venue d’un ailleurs possible. Mon travail consiste à faire émerger ces entités dans un espace où le regard cherche à reconnaître, hésite, puis se laisse entraîner dans une expérience de perception plus instable et plus ouverte.

Paul Émile Rioux, a Montreal-based artist and photographer with a hybrid background (film, communication, marketing, and image), has been exploring digital creation and photography since the 1990s. He works between abstraction and figuration, constructing virtual landscapes that he models in 3D, intentionally incorporating algorithmic anomalies. His light dilates time and blurs perception, immersing the viewer in fascinating transitional spaces between reality and fiction. He seeks to evoke cognitive vertigo and wonder, inviting everyone to question their perception of the world and their personal memories of places.
