About this artwork
The Clay Cliffs are a strange phenomenon. They are deposits from the receding southern ice cap and are full of colour and strange shapes. Paul stumbled across them, when exploring the interior of the South Island, New Zealand and he has since returned to study and photograph the area, whilst soaking up the strange mystery and stillness of these imposing outcrops. The paintings are a response to these memories and experiences.
