About this artwork
This atrwork is in carbon steel, can put horizontally and vertical
It is from the series called organica because it refers to the curves of nature, the sky, the sea where I live. All my work starts from drawings, without a goal or theme, I just draw, then I pass these drawings onto a cardboard and I cut, and I start to make a composition of shapes until I reach a result that I like and that is also very unconscious, these shapes are enlarged and… will be cut out in metal. Some clients tell me they see fomas, couples, the bottom of the sea, but in fact it all came from inside me

« I dream of lightness, inspired by the poet Fernando Pessoa. »
Paulo de Tarso is an experienced sculptor from Brazil whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions internationally. As a child, he discovered his love for shaping the aluminum foils in Nestle packaging, and went on to build a career in bringing three dimensional shapes to life. Starting with drawings in pencil on paper, he then transforms ideas into sculptures in steel and aluminium that capture feelings of the unconscious mind.
