About this artwork
This is one of the six-piece abstract series that explore how different energies can exist within the same space. Each painting has its own character—some louder, some quieter—formed through instinctive gestures, layered marks, and shifting fragments of colour.
When placed together, the works begin to feel like a conversation. They don’t necessarily agree with each other, yet they coexist, negotiating balance and presence. Some push forward, others… pull back, creating a rhythm that moves between tension and calm.
The title reflects a simple but familiar human experience: the ability to share the same space while holding different views. Rather than forcing harmony, the series embraces this quiet negotiation.
While each painting can stand independently, the six works were conceived as a conversation and reveal their full dynamic when experienced together as a series.

« To me, art is a 'visual voice'. It acts as a voice for the voiceless. It's a form of communication that crosses cultural and linguistic barriers, representing people across time and place – a voice of freedom and expression. »
Peisy Ting is a self-taught abstract artist whose work explores the emotional and psychological contrasts that shape the human experience. Drawn to abstraction for its freedom and fluidity, she uses bold colours, layered textures, and intuitive gestures to examine themes of duality — chaos and control, light and shadow, structure and surrender.
Her practice is deeply personal, rooted in transformation. Turning pivotal life moments into acts of creation, Peisy reclaims her story through works that are both raw and restrained, balancing vulnerability with composure. Each material choice becomes a metaphor: texture as memory, gold as fracture, space as resilience.
Peisy sees painting as a space of inquiry — not for resolution, but for reflection. Her work invites quiet, introspective encounters where contrast becomes not conflict, but a threshold: a place where presence, emotion, and meaning quietly emerge.
