About this artwork
In my work I captured a scene of pause, in oil, with impressionistic strokes. The colors and the play with light and shadow are intended to capture feelings of calm and reflection. It reflects the brief moment in which the world seems to stand still. This picture will bring an atmosphere of contemplation and depth to any home.

Peter Crestani is a Swiss artist whose works have been featured in numerous solo exhibitions nationally. Describing his art as lyrical, his unique style "surfs" between many. For example, a figurative piece can inspire him just as much as abstract work. Crestani creates in series, he translates the poetry of everyday life through non-representational pictures that tell a hidden story. He paints using oils, acrylics, and watercolors on canvas, wood, or paper.
