About this artwork
In this work I merge the human form with nature to explore the deep, symbiotic relationships between us and the earth. With oil paints I simultaneously capture the fleeting beauty of Impressionism and the deeper meaning of symbolic and metaphysical art. Viewers should find themselves in a world in which the boundaries between humans and nature are blurring and encourage reflection on our role in the ecological structure.

Peter Crestani is a Swiss artist whose works have been featured in numerous solo exhibitions nationally. Describing his art as lyrical, his unique style "surfs" between many. For example, a figurative piece can inspire him just as much as abstract work. Crestani creates in series, he translates the poetry of everyday life through non-representational pictures that tell a hidden story. He paints using oils, acrylics, and watercolors on canvas, wood, or paper.
