About this artwork
The woman with the blue headscarf seems to be in an inner conflict. The green that surrounds them is not only the color of hope, but also of resentment. "Turn green with envy" is a well-known saying. However, there is a subtle difference between envy, which is more associated with yellow, and resentment, envy means 'I want what you have', resentment means 'I don't want you to have it'.
