About this artwork
Pride is the original sin in the epic "paradise lost". It's a feeling that comes from the idea of being 'better'. The work is reminiscent of Norbert Bisky, who equipped his pictures with youths in HJ hairstyles. With biting irony, Riefenstahl's National Socialist work for the idea of being better is linked here with her subsequent Africa series.
