About this artwork
With this piece, I wanted to explore Tyson Fury’s unique combination of size and speed. He is such a physically imposing figure, yet he moves with an agility that defies expectations for someone of his stature. Capturing that contrast was central to my approach.
To reflect his power and presence, I chose to use a more abstract style and applied much thicker paint strokes than I normally would. The heavier texture and bolder marks were intentional… they emphasise his strength and physical dominance, while the fluidity of the strokes suggests his surprising quickness and movement in the ring. Through this technique, I aimed to convey not just his appearance, but the energy and dynamism that define him as a fighter.
