About this artwork
Perfect balance is about ballet dancers standing on the top of their ballet shoes. Each dancer keeps a balloon balanced on the tip of her middle finger. The girl in front of the dancers is dreaming of the time she will be able to do the same act.
The first additional photo shows the painting in a blank wooden frame. The four following additional photos zoom in on different details of the painting.
The last photo shows the bottom left corner of… the artwork with the signature of the artist: 'PK' and a very small horse; PK are the initials of the artist (Peter Koelman); but in Dutch, PK also means Horse power ('Paardenkracht')

« The main reason for Peter to make paintings and images is to create new beauty, inspired by already existing beauty like women, fashion, nature, landscapes etc. »
Beauty does exists as gems in a sometimes gray and sombre world. Peter Koelman reshapes these beautiful gems to create new beautiful art. By using bright colours and graphical techniques he creates new beauty, crystallized in acrylic paintings and digital pictures. Beauty to fall in love with. The images are always figurative but due to the usage of colourful planes and accentuated lines they sometimes give an almost abstract outlook.
