About this artwork
Quarrelling gulls on poles can often be seen along water with poles standing in it. (Often these are poles for fishing nets.) One gull expels the other, but somewhat later that gull is expelled by a third gull. Noteworthy is that each of the gulls is painted by one single, uninterrupted line, which is never crossing. Thus one line, with one beginning and one end, per bird.
