About this artwork
In creating this piece, I embraced the raw simplicity of primitivism, using bold oil colors and pencil to bring out its vivid and earthy essence. The simplicity of the forms belies a deeper emotional resonance, drawing on the primal connections to the world around us. As you gaze upon this artwork, its warm and dynamic energy will imbue your space with a sense of grounding and vitality, a reminder of the unspoken bonds we share with nature and each… other.
« Each painting I make is a search for a spiritual understanding of who I am as an artist and who I can become as a human being. »
Peter Locascio is an American artist whose works have been widely exhibited in the United States. He believes that creating art is more of a spiritual journey than a materialistic one. Locascio's compositions are inspired by Aboriginal, Native American, and Hindu art forms, etc. While some of his pieces convey narratives, others are simply whimsical. He favors painting with oils on canvas.
