About this artwork
Eight is just an abstraction that uses forms to show a dimensional element on a two dimension field. I have never been one to show dimensions in my work because I believe the flatter presentation is more reflective of the work I like. if I were to work in three dimensions I might have chosen sculpture like many in my family who were stone mason's by trade. I chose oil paint and here we are!

Peter Locascio is an American artist whose works have been widely exhibited in the United States. He believes that creating art is more of a spiritual journey than a materialistic one. Locascio's compositions are inspired by Aboriginal, Native American, and Hindu art forms, etc. While some of his pieces convey narratives, others are simply whimsical. He favors painting with oils on canvas.
