About this artwork
This is an abstract depiction of a robin's nest in spring. There is natural dried grass and hay used in the painting to depict the materials the bird would gather to make their nest for their young. The colors are chosen by the artist to depict the colors of spring that are blooming all around the birds. At the top of the painting you can see the blue eggs nestled in the nest.

Peter Locascio is an American artist whose works have been widely exhibited in the United States. He believes that creating art is more of a spiritual journey than a materialistic one. Locascio's compositions are inspired by Aboriginal, Native American, and Hindu art forms, etc. While some of his pieces convey narratives, others are simply whimsical. He favors painting with oils on canvas.
