About this artwork
In this creation, I have combined the raw power of charcoal and ink with organic materials on old musical notes. The figure radiates introspection and melancholy, while the abstract lines release the emotion. This work captures the transience of emotion and memory, and brings a unique tension that will imbue your space with depth and mystery.

Peter Moens is a painter, draughtsman, sculptor, and visual artist with a rich background spanning classical training at leading fine arts academies and professional experience as an art director and teacher. He employs a bold neo-expressionist style, painting on untreated wood and drawing on old music scores, fusing materials like oil, acrylic, stain, coffee, fire, and rebar to create raw, experimental pieces. His works radiate intense emotion—raging against narcissism, hypocrisy, and superficiality—urging viewers to confront uncomfortable truths beneath their own reflections.
