I have been focused on a natural development in the studio — an organic creative process unfolding within certain works.

This body of work has been years in the making, and its manifestation now feels both timely and appropriate.
The layered textures of oil, wool,… and plaster create a tactile depth, while the geometric web symbolizes life's interconnected complexities. It pulses with energy, inviting you to feel the metaphysical dance beneath the surface—an intense celebration of existence.

Peter Pitout is a Franco-South African artist based in France, whose work has been exhibited nationally and internationally.
Drawing from his childhood in Durban and a background in industrial art and design, he creates paintings that balance structured forms with surrealist gestures.
His multidisciplinary practice spans oil painting, embroidery, and conceptual research, often exploring themes of light, vibration, and transformation. Pitout has participated in several art residencies in France and abroad, using these immersive experiences to deepen his artistic inquiry and expand his visual language.
For him, the creative process is a return to inner roots—a space for reflection, reconnection, and the evolution of artistic consciousness.
