About this artwork
I use polystyrene foam as a basis for making spatial collages, based on verticality as research. I use black and white book illustrations in combination with black paint. Not because of recognition of the illustration, but to create direction in the work itself. An independent direction perpendicular to the verticality of the spatial substratum. So the works is a totally abstract composition. This is #16 of the series 'vertical Ambitions'.
