About this artwork
This is part one of my series New York yards revisited (2017. 9-part). A few years ago, around 2016 while looking at folders in my studio, I came across a number of test prints of my project New York from the yards. On a large format. I started using these photos as a starting point for this series "New York Yards Revisited". About crumbled past. Images that have been cut up and reassembled. My work is generally about reliving. Reliving for me is…
something I have experienced. something that happened to myself. Added to the canon of history. That history is getting heavier every second. Sometimes I collapse under the weight of that history.
