About this artwork
A golfer plays on the tracks. That was one of my gallery owners more than 10 years ago in Uznach: Timo Rüegg. We created a fictitious action where he hits a golf ball on the tracks. Every golfer wants to play straight and the tapering of the tracks gives the feeling of that.
An American car drives through an industrial area. In the car are many young people who are visibly bored. The telephone masts represent a rhythm that moves to the back of the… picture.
The work is from my Gumprint series. Gumprint is a special printing technique that is a little similar to lithography, but is always unique. It was printed on a canvas painted with acrylic. The work is framed with a natural wood frame and glass and is a work from the Shortcuts series. All works in the Shortcuts series are framed 26 x 32 or 32 x 26 cm in size.
