About this artwork
I photographed the cedar tree during a trip. I like the dry, arid quality in this part of the tree. The three colored areas interpret the space surrounding the tree's strength. The peach color was thinned with transparent white to create a transparency that intensifies into the orange, which divides the peach-colored areas. The work is unique, and the tree was printed using gumprint on my printing press.
