About this artwork
In this work I mix bright colors and dynamic shapes to create a sense of movement. My goal was to capture the free spirit and energy of the moment. I wanted to create a composition that draws the eye throughout the entire image, inviting the viewer to dream, lost in the currents of color.

Petra Rader works mainly with acrylic and only discovered her artistic calling at the age of 46. Her expressive style is characterized by spontaneous, generous brushstrokes and the dissolution of figures as in her BLUE S series; she creates a world of merging surfaces that connect body and space. Her works radiate longing, freedom and moments of personal empowerment.
