About this artwork
When you look at an image, your interpretation is always a reflection of your own state of mind. Is the woman on the floor relaxing? or dead? It seems she is fading away. Is it a memory from the past? Can you "feel" her?

« A paradoxical faith in the elusiveness of truth. Everyone has a talent. For me, creativity is also finding myself in alignment with my own spiritual journey, being in the moment. »
Petra Werlich is a painter and draftsman based in the Netherlands whose paintings have been exhibited both nationally and in Germany. Her works explore the human condition and are often based on a memory, a sentence, a photo, or a dream. Through her distinctive characters, Werlich translates anxiety, conflict, phobia, admissions of complicity, and other psychological themes. Her brightly colored narrative compositions are primarily created with oils on linen.
