Sneeze is about change of meaning during a Pandemic periode affecting the entire world.
When in 1918 the Spanish flu raged across the world, the mouth mask was made compulsory in America. During the first wave, the population has no problem with it, but an anti-mask movement arises during the second wave in San Fransisco.

Petra Werlich is a painter and draftsman based in the Netherlands whose paintings have been exhibited both nationally and in Germany. Her works explore the human condition and are often based on a memory, a sentence, a photo, or a dream. Through her distinctive characters, Werlich translates anxiety, conflict, phobia, admissions of complicity, and other psychological themes. Her brightly colored narrative compositions are primarily created with oils on linen.
