About this artwork
Just started as an artist she experienced how 'double faced' the Artworld can be. She painted the art curator, who is sitting on the rich colored carpet throwing away the Dump Boxes of Josef Beuys. She painted herself as a little girl in a black dress wondering what she is doing there.
She used 310 grams paper with paper straps at the top and bottom. With this you can attach it to the wall.

Petra Werlich is a painter and draftsman based in the Netherlands whose paintings have been exhibited both nationally and in Germany. Her works explore the human condition and are often based on a memory, a sentence, a photo, or a dream. Through her distinctive characters, Werlich translates anxiety, conflict, phobia, admissions of complicity, and other psychological themes. Her brightly colored narrative compositions are primarily created with oils on linen.
