About this artwork
In this work on paper, I used ink to explore themes of abstraction and symbolism. Swirls of green and touches of yellow capture a metaphysical energy, each curve and nuance seeking to represent the intimate questions of existence and ephemerality.
This minimalism invites the viewer to delve into deep introspection, offering a space of reflective calm.

Philaée was born in 1976 in the Paris region. At the age of 12, she began taking oil painting and charcoal lessons for four years.
Beginning a career as an engineer in various large companies and then at the CNRS in an oceanography laboratory, she followed various artistic practice courses during these years, notably studies of live models and drawing at Jussieu.
In 2023, she discovered monotype thanks to the artist Hélène Ménenteau, as part of her journey at Citad'elles in Nantes.
Combining and experimenting with different techniques and always in a search for movement and meaning, Philaée uses the fire that consumes her to paint the questions that drive her.
For Philaée, painting means transforming through art what hinders her, what moves her, what questions her, depositing in colors and movement her emotions, her dreams and her vibrant energy.
