About this artwork
In this piece, I've poured my zeal into every stroke, capturing an essence of vigor and raw emotion. Utilizing oil, pencil, and oil pastels, I've melded fine art with a semi-abstract expressionist style. This artwork channels the tumultuous beauty of chaos and the energy of youthful rebellion. It's intended to provoke, energize, and inspire passionate conversations in every space it adorns.

« Structure undermined by mess. »
U.K. painter Philip Maltman began painting in the 1960's, listening to Thelonious Monk in the art rooms at his secondary school. Maltman works with oil on canvas along with numerous brushes, pencils, crayons, rags, and his own fingers. Maltman's series draw from a variety of inspirations, ranging from the music of Sonic Youth to the paintings of John Constable and Monet. Maltman's works are delightfully chaotic and thickly layered with texture and a subtle color palette.
