Imagine a world in which time and space would be abolished, painters of all eras working together to develop "hyperimages" just for the pleasure of giving thanks to the beauty and poetry of nature and civilizations. In this 4-hand collaborative work produced with the painter Muriel Cayet (see her page on Singulart) the backgrounds created by Muriel Cayet served as a fertile support for Philippe Abril's imagination. The result is there before your… eyes 21 images with multiple quotations from Bosch via Chagall, Paula Modersohn-Becker, Patinir, Gauguin, Picasso and so many others that make up these magical gardens, havens of peace and harmony to enjoy without moderation.
The compositions are made in Photoshop then printed on canvas, mounted on a 2 cm thick frame. Each work is limited to 5 prints, signed by both artists.
« Painting and creation, in general, are the best ways to deliver what words cannot say. »
Philippe Abril is an award-winning French painter who has exhibited in both solo and group events nationally. Within his works, he conveys his amazement of having ‘landed on this fabulous planet’. Abril’s naive narrative paintings are mostly made using acrylics, as its fast drying qualities give him the freedom to mix other mediums more easily.
