Philippe Caspar
France
« A truly successful painting should, in my opinion, resemble the perfectly limpid transcription of a very animated, even violent discussion, perhaps even a brawl, between the conscious and the unconscious. »
Philippe Caspar is a painter, draftsman, and sculptor based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally and in England. Continuously searching for a balance between the figurative and the abstract, he describes his art as conveying his interiority, the struggles of the soul, and paradoxes. In his artistic practice, Caspar favors acrylics on canvas.
