After Ice — Luminous Drift is part of my ongoing exploration of abstract digital form as a space where beauty, instability, and reflection can coexist. In this work, I wanted to create an image that feels suspended between emergence and dissolution — something that appears at once sculptural, fluid, and fragile, as if it were carrying the memory of ice, water, and transformation within a single body.
What interests me is not only the form itself,… but the sense that it is still becoming. I think of this work as a moment caught in transition: a luminous mass shaped by pressure, turbulence, and slow release. The pale mineral tones and blue inner light suggest both calm and disturbance, while the reflective lower field introduces another layer of meaning. For me, the reflection is not simply a mirror; it acts more like an echo, a second presence that makes the image feel less fixed and more contemplative.
Philippe Ceulemans is a contemporary visual artist working at the intersection of painting, photography, and generative art. His practice is defined by meticulously handwritten code, through which each artwork is uniquely constructed—never duplicated and entirely independent from AI systems.
His works unfold as intricate visual ecosystems where organic forms, light, and depth interact in a controlled yet evolving structure. Inspired by natural phenomena such as growth, energy, and transformation, his compositions evoke both microscopic and cosmic dimensions, inviting a slow, contemplative viewing experience.
Ceulemans explores color as an emotional and spatial force, ranging from minimal monochromes to luminous, high-contrast palettes. Working across still and moving image, his seamless animations extend these environments into time, creating immersive, meditative visual fields.
