In this work, I sought to capture the vibrant essence of urban life with its reflections and mysterious luminosity. Using oil, I played with light and shadow to evoke feelings of nostalgia but also hope. Semi-abstract and figurative touches invite deep contemplation, while bursts of invigorating color can illuminate and bring dynamic energy to any space. Philippe Meslin is an award-winning French artist whose paintings have been widely exhibited in France. He describes his figurative style as leaving room for imagination and interpretation. Meslin's main themes are seascapes and cityscapes, he is especially inspired by the bay of Mont Saint Michel, Italy, and New York. He creates using oils, mainly with knives, on linen canvas.
