About this artwork
In my work, I seek to capture simple moments of happiness, those shared between girlfriends, outside of time and constraints. These moments when we are together, without needing to speak, just savoring the warmth, the light, the presence of the other.
For me, exoticism is as much a setting as a state of mind. It evokes travel, of course, but above all, an inner freedom: bold colors, generous sunshine, a gentle and joyful atmosphere. The bodies are… confident, calm, and self-assured. They speak of complicity, sisterhood, and the simple pleasure of being present.
I paint women who resemble and echo each other, like friendly mirrors. They embody memories, desires, holidays dreamed of or experienced. Through them, I speak of shared joy, lightness, and that precious feeling of being exactly where you belong.
« My world is that of an eternal teenager, who, thanks to colors, invents new horizons. »
Philippe Seigle, a painter based in France, has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Brazil, Italy, the United States, Mexico, and Morocco. Having lived in several exotic countries, Seigle was influenced by and has kept his penchant for bright colors. Describing himself as a naive colorist, his compositions feature characters whose paths intersect. His vibrant pieces are created using acrylics on canvas.
