About this artwork
The prestigious residency at Borgo Pignano and the Moritz Heyman Award is where this was painted. Here I am drawing everyone. I loved this residency, it was a life saver. I had been on the journey to Tuscany when I had a late miscarriage, the third in a row. If I had not been so well looked after, with lunch cooked daily and many friendly faces, I might never have bounced back. This was my painting done in gratitude.
