About this artwork
At the heart of this work is an earthy magenta – a hue that once defined my expression with luminous intensity and here transitions into a calmer, more grounded form.
Multilayered glazes create a surface reminiscent of aged traces – like fragments of memory softening with time. “Grounded Radiance” tells a story of change: of holding on and letting go, of the transformation of powerful expression into inner balance.
A quiet, warm work about maturation,… memory, and the light that remains even in the earth.
Pinar Hanel works primarily with acrylic paints on canvas and incorporates other media such as oil pastels, colored pencils, acrylic markers, and charcoal into her works. Her technique is often characterized by a complex layering of materials, which she applies intuitively and expressively, creating dynamic and often expressive images, as well as calm works emphasizing color and texture. Her art reflects the depth and complexity of human emotions and invites the viewer to an open, honest encounter with their own inner world.
