Pino Procopio is an award-winning painter, draftsman, printmaker and sculptor from Italy who has extensively exhibited on a national level. He paints everyday events in a surreal manner, portraying fantastic and deformed figures that are seen as reflected through a convex mirror. Procopio tells the story of the Greek Gods and often depicts animals and seascapes “denouncing suffering in this historical moment”. Using a style in which he defines as the new “primitivism”, he prefers the speed of acrylic colors.
