About this artwork

«Call of the North Star” - is an unusual northern phenomenon in Arctic region and Laplandia.

In my painting in the center shows a girl dressed in a fur coat and a hood, which gives her protection from the icy cold of the Arctic landscape. Her face is expressing surprise, reverence for the greatness of cold beauty or just tranquility and inner peace, despite the harsh environmental conditions.

In the background, the northern lights extend, creating… a magical glow against the background of an icy landscape. Greenish-blue rays of radiance penetrate through cold clouds, giving the painting an additional magical shade and mystery. The Arctic landscape behind includes snowdrifts, snow-covered trees or ice formations, complementing the visual impact and enhancing the feeling of isolation and wild beauty of the north.
Dynamic and colorful, this original oil painting presents geometric shapes and abstract designs.
