About this artwork

This panting describes the situation when you are hundreds of thousands of kilometers away from home. But you know that in any way you will definitely come home. The path is not easy, distant and with great difficulties and all this to meet and hug your mother.

The winding road leads the viewer's gaze deeper into the picture, creating perspective and a sense of path. A field of mown wheat and haystacks occupy most of the canvas, creating a feeling… of spaciousness and tranquility. The house in the distance, to which the road leads, is the compositional center and the goal of the journey.

Mown wheat and haystacks create a feeling of warmth and comfort, reminiscent of the end of summer and the beginning of autumn. Green cypress trees add vertical accents and contrast with the golden tones of the field. Path flowers create a feeling of liveliness and natural beauty.
