About this artwork
In this work I explored the depth of human emotions through abstraction and expressionism. Each acrylic brushstroke is charged with raw energy, reflecting the struggles and beauty of inner disorder. It is a visual journey into organized chaos, inviting the viewer to delve into a world where emotions dominate reason. Bringing a vibrant presence to your space, this work stimulates introspective reflection and renews the energy of any environment.

Alexandra Piras is a French self-taught artist of Italian origins working with mixed media and integrated LED lighting in her "Line of Love" series.
Influenced by Lucio Fontana and James Turrell, she creates “living wounds” – luminous fissures that pulse within the painting. Each crack is not destruction but revelation, a bridge between the corporeal and transcendental.
Her background in psychology informs her artistic practice, channeling research into human behavior and emotions into visual form. She explores the strongest emotions through abstract expressionism, representing space through sensations and instinctive ideas.
Recent exhibitions: Fondazione Matalon Milano, Firenze Contemporary 4 (2024).
“Life is a passage, works of art are its imprints.”
