About this artwork
This piece was inspired by the calming rhythm of waterfalls and the vibrant life that blooms around them. Using paper quilling, I shaped each stone, petal, and stream by hand with acid-free paper on a paper base.
I wanted to capture that peaceful moment in nature where water flows freely and flowers thrive in its presence. The bright blooms and cascading falls are a reminder of renewal and balance, something I often seek in my own creative journey.…
Framed under acrylic glass, this work invites viewers to pause and reconnect with nature’s quiet strength and joy.
Prasiddhi Amonker, an Indian paper artist, primarily employs quilling as an artistic medium. Honorably self-taught and inspired by nature, her technique focuses on nuanced details and textures of organic landscapes and creatures. With a preference for gentle pastel palettes, she manifests soothing, calming themes of Earth's tranquil landscapes. Amonker’s art encapsulates not only the serenity of nature but also exudes a piece of her very spirit, allowing the observer to experience her perception of the natural world.
