Circle of Tranquility was born from my desire to create a space of calm within color. Each paper strip was shaped slowly, almost like a breath, allowing the patterns to unfold naturally. The mandala’s layers reflect the balance I seek in my own… life, where vibrance meets stillness, and movement settles into harmony. I hope this piece offers you the same quiet joy it gave me while creating it.
Prasiddhi Amonker, an Indian paper artist, primarily employs quilling as an artistic medium. Honorably self-taught and inspired by nature, her technique focuses on nuanced details and textures of organic landscapes and creatures. With a preference for gentle pastel palettes, she manifests soothing, calming themes of Earth's tranquil landscapes. Amonker’s art encapsulates not only the serenity of nature but also exudes a piece of her very spirit, allowing the observer to experience her perception of the natural world.
