About this artwork
/ galvanized sheet metal, black ink, scratched with a dry point needle /
My drawings scratched into sheet metal are created by long-term carving of short strokes into the
surface of metal plates. Spiral clusters of short strokes spring from different points of the surface, interfusing at the end in a saturated weave of the surface.
With even the smallest movement of the observer's point of view, the angle of entry and reflection of light from… the surface of the drawing changes. The composition and appearance of the work changes completely. So the philosophy of these works is the assumption that the work constantly continues to live and permanently change depending on the perception and projection of the beholder. Like all natural phenomena, change is the only constant here, in fact, incompleteness is the only modality.
This is actually about the visualisation of correlating structures of abstract categories such as the rhythm of emotions or thoughts.
