About this artwork
This is a completely unique and original abstract oil painting on 1.5" deep, artist-stretched canvas. This painting is one of a new series of exciting works that epitomize certain techniques and an aesthetic I have been working to perfect over the years. The streaking colors are vibrant and alive, mixing, dividing, overlapping and streaking across each other on the surface to create a beautiful play of color and light. This painting has a beautiful…
healing and calming energy, as well as a subtle geometrical design. Heavy texture also exists on the surface and edges of the piece to give added depth. This painting is beautiful in its play of vibrant colors and movement and will light up your space. The texture and colors are alive and almost seem edible and "chewy". It is truly an original oil painting like no other.
Note: This painting is painted on canvas and comes hang ready with the edges painted black. Framing is not necessary, but up to the preference of the collector.

Preston M. Smith is an exciting American painter whose works have been widely exhibited across the United States. Interested in construction and deconstruction, and always seeking to work in a state of pure emotion, he composes striking abstract paintings and inventive portraits that reflect order in chaos, beauty in madness.
