About this artwork
This painting is a variation on a series I have been working on in the past months and the seventh in a new series. This series is an exploration into the world of deep, vibrant color, texture and beauty. This piece is painted on a 48" x 30" canvas with the sides painted black. With all of the fearful talk about border security in the world right now, this wall imagery has been rolling around in my subconscious. There is much symbolism and metaphor…
in this series. In this piece in particular, the "cracks" in this wall allow the viewer to peer in, take a closer look and wonder at the hidden beauty and realm of possibilities beyond it's surface. After all, the cracks are what let the light in...
