About this artwork
This painting is a Pop Surrealistic homage to one of my favorite directors, David Lynch. I wanted this piece to be realized and executed in a similarly bizarre, pop-existential technique that he employs in his own directing and artistic vision, filtered through my own lens. I actually worked with the David Lynch Foundation in the past at the Key Club in Hollywood, California where I painted and auctioned off a painting of Mr. Lynch to benefit his… foundation and cause. This piece is iconic, poppy and HIGHLY textured. I dealt with his face with broad intense strokes of color and texture and no brush was employed in the execution of this work. It was made using two different techniques and both acrylic and oil paints. Because of the thick texture, Lynch's eyes look at you from certain angles of viewing the canvas, just to add a bit more "Lynchian" weirdness to the painting!
Note: This painting is painted on canvas and does not come framed.
